Family Meals |
 |
|
The highchair we used with Toni and now with Charlie is an Inglesina Fast Table Chair. I
tried 3 different highchairs before finding this one. I like how close
it gets to the table, so there is very little food on the floor. (No,
Charlie doesn't eat food yet, I'm speaking from experience with Toni :)
I
saw this at a friend's house and I bought something similar at Target,
but the bottom was squishy and therefore uncomfortable for Toni, AND it
didn't snuggle up nearly as close to the table, so a lot of food still
landed on the floor. Finally, I just ordered the Inglesina from Amazon.
(Though Target does sometimes have the actual Inglesina.) Toni used it
until she was over 3 years old. It helped her to be a part of the
family conversation, since she was so close to the table and so high --
her eyes were at our eye level. And, again, less food on the floor!
Now,
Charlie sits in it (propped all around with blankets) at the beginning
of every meal. He's 3 months old now. Sometimes he makes it for 20
minutes and sometimes for 3 minutes. But, while he is in it, he enjoys
following all the talking -- looking from one face to another as the
conversation flows. Cool!

You are a Master Babywearer |
 |
|
In China, it is said that "A master is anyone who knows more than you do." So, you are all master babywearers compared with most of the moms in the world. You do NOT need to know everything there is to know about babywearing -- if you know even ONE carry with even ONE type of carrier, you are in possession of knowledge other moms desperately want -- even if they do not yet know they want it. ;-D Therefore, you should all feel confident enough to teach others! So, pick a public place, pick a day of the week, and start sharing your skills with other families! Then, list yourself here.
