 Newborn Front Torso Carry Minimize
Tiny newborn Quinn, only 18 days old, is perfectly nuzzled on my chest in this torso carry. I held him to my chest and wrapped the cloth around both of us, under my arms, and around my back. Then I tied it on the right side of my chest.
When doing this carry be careful to make a pocket for Baby. Baby's legs should be folded up in the fetal position and his body should rest in the pocket.
Also, make sure it is snug all the way around, providing plenty of support for Baby.
Also, notice that I rolled the edge of the pareo to make a cushion with the cloth where it passes along the back of Baby's head and neck. Don't do this carry with a cloth that is too thin or too small to provide plenty of cushioning around Baby's head and neck.

 Sitting in a Chair Minimize
Front Torso carries are most useful when you need to hold baby hands free while you sit down in a chair. For example, while eating dinner at a restaurant.
Imagine you have a Medium Baby who is fed-up with the high chair and wants to sleep. You can sit baby in your lap, facing you, legs around your waist, and wrap the cloth around both of you, tucking it under your bottom to hold it. Now baby can doze while you finish your meal -- with both hands free.
Another great use for the front torso carry is when you are eating and you want to share tiny bites with baby, but you don't want baby to touch your hot plate or knock your soup off the table. Sit baby in your lap, facing out, with her hands folded in her lap. Wrap the cloth around both of you -- including baby's hands, from the front to the back, then tuck each end under your bottom. I'm not suggesting you do this every day. Only occasionally at restaurants or while out visiting. This is especially helpful when you're eating out at a place that has no high chairs, and baby is not sleepy and does not want to nurse.

You are a Master Babywearer Minimize
In China, it is said that "A master is anyone who knows more than you do." So, you are all master babywearers compared with most of the moms in the world. You do NOT need to know everything there is to know about babywearing -- if you know even ONE carry with even ONE type of carrier, you are in possession of knowledge other moms desperately want -- even if they do not yet know they want it. ;-D Therefore, you should all feel confident enough to teach others! So, pick a public place, pick a day of the week, and start sharing your skills with other families! Then, list yourself here.
